Overcoming Impostor Syndrome

Mental Training & Performance

Service Description

Impostor syndrome leads even competent, successful people to doubt their achievements and to feel inwardly that they are "not good enough." Strong results are dismissed as luck, successes are not properly taken in, and praise feels undeserved. Inside, there's a constant fear of one day being "found out" — even though, objectively, everything points to real ability and talent. This module helps you recognise the inner mechanisms of impostor syndrome and dissolve them step by step. Through psychologically grounded reflection methods, work with your inner strengths, and clear strategies for mentally re-anchoring, you build a more stable, self-assured self-image. Left unaddressed, the impostor experience can lead to stress, overwork, self-sabotage, and emotional exhaustion. That's why Vitalis Coaching teaches methods for reducing self-doubt, taking in your successes, and lastingly changing your inner narrative. The goal is a healthy, realistic, and powerful sense of self — free from inner devaluation. The focus is on dissolving distorted thinking patterns, strengthening self-efficacy, working with feelings of comparison, perfectionism, and inner criticism, and building an authentic, stable identity. Does this resonate? Does success sometimes feel undeserved? Does it feel as though you play down your achievements or dismiss them as luck? Does the fear of being "not good enough" feel present despite good results? Does praise feel more uncomfortable than affirming? Does perfectionism feel like a constant companion? Does it feel as though you achieve a lot but feel little self-confidence? Does the fear of one day being "exposed" feel like a burden?
